Red Rock Park!

 

Registration opens at 10:00 am.

 

Make sure to not miss the ZUMBA warm-up with Bridget at 10:30.

The walk will begin the walk at 11:00. The finish line celebration include family activites and refreshmentsFestivities will include music by DJ Dan Elias of B-Yond Music, Balloon Twisting by Magic Mike, Moon Bounce, Face Painting, Tattoos, Lawn Games and More!

First Annual Walk for Families

Family and Children's Services of Lynn presents the First Annual Walk for Families on Saturday October 1, 2011!

 

The Walk begins at Red Rock Park.  Registration begins at 10am and The Walk begins at 11am.  There are two walk options: The Four Mile Power Stride or The Two Mile Family Pace.  The Walk concludes at 12pm with family activities and refreshments.

Help Send Local Foster Children to the Topsfield Fair!

The Lynn Office of the Department of Children and Families(DCF), is taking donations to send local foster children to the Topsfield Fair!  The fair is running from October 1st through the 11th.  DCF has secured discount tickets, yet would like to see the kids and their families get in for free.  For a $7.00 donation they can achieve just that.  By all means any larger donation would be greatly appreciated.  All funds raised will go to making this trip to Topsfield a memorable one for our foster families. Checks can be made to the Family Resource Fund and mailed to:

Come out to the 4th annual Family Fun Day!

Join Family & Children's Service of Greater Lynn on the Commons for a day of fun at their 4th annual Family Fun Day. On Wednesday, September 15th from 2-6 P.M. come learn about the programs and services that Family & Children’s Service and other community agencies have to offer.

Some of the agencies to be attending are:

PCHP (Home visiting Program)
Lynn Family Network(Programs for Early Childhood age)
Family Resource Center
ELM (Early Literacy Matters)

New Moms: Spanish Language Support Group

Family and Children's Service of Greater Lynn is offering a Spanish language support group for new mothers.  Please see the attached flier for details (in Spanish).

Parenting Class (0 - 12 months old)

Family & Children’s Service of Greater Lynn will be offering a new baby (0 - 12 month old) parenting class.  This class will take place August 18th, 2010 from 10 PM - 12 PM at 111 North Common St, Lynn, MA 01902.  This program is designed to help parents learn to observe and read babies' cues and signals, understand babies, learn about ways to provide tactile stimulation important to proper brain development.  Please see the attached flier for more detailed information regarding this program.
