Downtown/Central Lynn Revitalization

As part of the City of Lynn's downtown revitalization efforts, SCI Lynn is helping to facilitate community planning meetings to discuss ways the residents can work with the local government, nonprofits and business to revitalize the Downtown/Central Lynn area. These meetings build upon a Downtown/Central Lynn resident survey commissioned by the City of Lynn. This Downtown effort also includes supporting resident-led neighborhood improvement projects through the Neighborhood Leadership Awards.

Downtown/Central Square Survey
The City of Lynn commissioned a survey of some 15,000 residents living in the Downtown/Central Lynn area to identify issues to be addressed and gauge residents' interest in working on revitalizing the area. The results of this survey and steps to address the issues identified have been discussed at community meetings described below. To download a copy of the Lynn downtown survey results, Click Here.

SCI is working with the City of Lynn Health Division and the Downtown/Central Lynn Community Resource Office and Communities That Care to facilitate a series of community meetings to discuss ways residents can work with the local government, businesses and community organizations to improve Downtown Lynn. These meetings serve as a follow-up to a Downtown/Central Lynn resident survey that identified a number of needs and opportunities for improving the area.
