     We proudly support Club de Castanueles.   This non-profit organization, founded by Lynn’s Frances Martinez, Executive Director of La Vida, Inc., brings hope to the poor rural town of Castanueles, Dominican Republic.  Yearly, Frances and her committed group of volunteers travel to the  D.R. and bring medicine, school supplies and bare essentials to this community’s vulnerable population. For instance, in the past they have helped to provide transportation for school, in the form of a bus, ensuring the continued education of school age children.  In the midst of our economic downturn, it is mindful to think of those who live with greater adversity, regardless the financial stability of the Wall Street and Main Street USA.  The beneficiaries of this organization are living under conditions, most of us could not bare for even a day while facing the brunt of another potentially brutal hurricane season.  

With this in mind, the SPIN Financial Stability Center is sponsoring a 50/50 Raffle.  A maximum of 100 tickets will be sold, each at $50.  If all are sold, prizes are as follows; 1st Prize--$1500, 2nd Prize---$500, 3rd Prize---$250, 4th Prize---$150, 5th Prize---$100 with $2500 going to Club de Castanueles.  (Actual prize amounts will reflect the percentage of tickets sold up to the maximum of 100)
 
The raffle will be held Wednesday January 13, 2010 at the Financial Stability Center 270 Union Street from 4:00-5:00 PM.  Winners do not have to be present to win, but we hope you will take this opportunity to see the Financial Stability Center and find out more about our programs.  Frances Martinez will be on hand to answer specific questions about Club de Castanueles.  Time is short to get in on this opportunity to improve your new year’s financial stability while helping a very worthy cause.
