Greetings

Hey folks -

I keep a somewhat irregular blog at cityoflynn.upsidemedia.com

I also run the forums at lynnhappens.com

I registered in order to comment on existing blogs, and now I see that regristration comes with its own blog space. I don't just want to promote the sites above, though. I think SCI Lynn has the most useful web site in the city. I think I'll use this blog to post community events and meetings in Downtown Lynn, when we have them! (oh, and we will...)

The more the merrier!

Can't wait to see what's in store for downtown! The forums at LynnHappens are a great addition to the scene. Thanks for taking that on.

I've heard there was an existing neighborhood association down there that organized a cleanup, but I don't know if it's still active. Lorin Slade was one of the organizers. They received a grant from SCI Lynn. I found this article.

We used to have a Ward 3 Neighborhood Association up here, but it's not active now. I think it's still an incorporated entity though, if anyone wants to step up.

There's also the Highlands Coalition and the Johnny Appleseed of Community Activism, Calvin Anderson, who does a great job taking care of Sagamore St.

There is money to fund initiatives and people to band together.
